Em (she/they) is a speculative fiction author from New England.

Em writes for a wide range of audiences and is an Associate Member of the SFWA as of June 2024. Their work has appeared in Ember: A Journal of Luminous Things, The First Line, All Worlds Wayfarer, and other literary journals, along with three Cloaked Press anthologies.

Em is heavily inspired by nature and magic. With a bachelor’s degree in geology, Em likes to ground her work with geologic detail from mineralogy and petrology to geomorphology. Their stories also tend to incorporate musicality, plants and animals, and themes of found family and queer inclusiveness.

Author note: All work is 100% my own human creation—I abhor the use of A/I to mimic human creativity. My writing is all my own, my photography is all my own, and my art is all my own.
